Buddhist Poetry Review

Celebrating Contemplative Poetry

Welcome

Buddhist Poetry Review is a quarterly online journal dedicated to publishing fresh and insightful Buddhist poetry. Our vision encompasses the full spectrum of Buddhism, and we welcome submissions from authors who write from any perspective.

Buddhists have used poetic expression from the very outset of their religion to elucidate and celebrate the Dharma. Our mission is to foster this tradition by providing a forum for new poetry written in that timeless spirit.

Buddhist Poetry Review collects no money from advertisements and does not offer payment for poems. Instead, we provide this site free of commercialism, as an expression of metta (loving-kindness), and as a way for its contributors to practice dana (generosity) through the kind donation of their time and creative output. May these poems inspire a greater appreciation of the Dharma and serve to benefit all beings.

Note:

Buddhist Poetry Review is no longer accepting submissions or publishing new material. It has been our honor to serve the Buddhist poetry community over the past decade, and we wish all of our contributors and readers the best along their spiritual and creative journeys. We hope you will continue to explore our archives, and that they will serve to provide an enlightening resource of modern Buddhist poetry. Thank you to everyone who has made this possible.

With Gratitude,

Jason Barber, Editor
